"Today's Danish national herd is largely influenced through the importation by that pioneering breeder Hans Jensen in 1958, of semen from the New Zealand bull, Glenmore Royal Guide. It was through sons of this intensively-bred Day Dream bull that the great Danish sires like Fyn Tved Fyn Haug and Skae Hede, and more recently virtually all of the renowned top sires, have been bred".
